This policy shall apply to all Office of Distance Education (ODE) courses offered by the FIU College of Engineering and Computing.


No recording or broadcasting of an Office of Distance Education (ODE) section may be undertaken except by ODE personnel or employees. Usage of ODE content and/or videos (currently or previously recorded) may not occur outside of ODE allotted sections, including if the faculty member has additional on-campus, online or hybrid sections, except as explicitly authorized by ODE.

Users (including students, faculty, and staff) agree not to archive, download, reproduce, distribute, modify, display, perform, publish, license, create derivative works from, offer for sale, or use content and information contained on or obtained from or through the ODE service without express written permission from ODE. All users are deemed by the university to understand that if they are found responsible for academic misconduct and misuse of computer services, they will be subject to the Academic Misconduct procedures and sanctions.

Ownership and usage of any intellectual property, including the obtaining of any required permissions, shall be subject to applicable University policies and procedures in effect from time to time.
